Nigerian rapper Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has been publicly accused by his baby mama, Maimah, of neglecting their son, Jamal.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Maimah shared her frustrations, stating that the rapper has consistently failed to prioritize their child’s well-being. According to her, this issue has persisted for 12 years, ever since Jamal was born. Her decision to go public, she explained, stemmed from years of unresolved disputes over their son’s care and financial responsibilities.
In her post, Maimah revealed that Ice Prince suggested Jamal could live with his family in Jos if she couldn’t afford a home for him. This comment reportedly came after she asked the rapper to contribute half of her rent, given that their son resides with her.
Maimah expressed her disbelief over Ice Prince’s unwillingness to share basic parental responsibilities, despite his public persona as a loving father. She noted that even when Jamal fell ill, the rapper allegedly waited for her to raise her voice before arranging medical care.
Maimah further alleged that Jamal recently resumed a new school term without clean clothes, adequate water, or provisions, despite supposedly being under his father’s care.
She accused Ice Prince of neglecting their son not only financially but also emotionally and physically. “A child I raised for 12 years,” she wrote, “I’ve left him for you, Panshak. Yet you neglect this boy. We will all reap what we sow.” Her words painted a distressing picture of a father failing to meet the basic needs of his only child.
Addressing Ice Prince directly, Maimah condemned what she described as his “fake humility” and called him “a damaged, terrible person” at his core. She expressed regret over previously deleting her earlier posts, explaining that she had hoped for a resolution after being contacted by someone she respected.
However, she now feels that the situation has gone beyond her control, emphasizing that her only desire is for Ice Prince to fulfill his obligations as a father.
Her post has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many weighing in on the responsibilities of co-parenting and the role of fathers in their children’s lives.
