The Reading and Leeds festivals have unveiled their first wave of headline acts for next summer, featuring a mix of debuting and seasoned performers.

Among the highlights is Chappell Roan, who is set to make her first festival headline appearance following a breakout year. Roan’s debut album, The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, has garnered widespread acclaim, and this milestone performance is a testament to her meteoric rise in the music industry.

Joining her as a first-time headliner is Travis Scott, the dynamic rapper renowned for his electrifying stage presence and monumental production.

Scott’s appearance at the festivals is being touted as a “European exclusive,” adding an extra layer of anticipation for his fans. Known for his chart-topping hits and energetic performances, Scott’s set is expected to be a highlight of the weekend, drawing audiences from across the continent.

Veteran rock band Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) will also make their headline debut, despite having graced the Reading and Leeds stages in the past. Frontman Oli Sykes expressed his excitement, saying,

“We are going to bring hands down the greatest show of our careers. It’s going to be our only UK performance next year and the final European show of the NEX GEN campaign before the band takes time away, so if you want to see BMTH next year, this truly is your only chance. Can’t wait.” With seven albums under their belt, the band’s upcoming performance promises to be a career-defining moment.

Folk-rock sensation Hozier will also take a headline slot, marking a triumphant return to the festivals after first performing there in 2014.

Following the success of his chart-topping album, Unreal Unearth, and his first UK number-one single, Too Sweet, his 2025 set will be a UK festival exclusive. Known for his soulful voice and poetic lyricism, Hozier’s performance is anticipated to be both powerful and emotive.

The supporting acts feature an eclectic mix of talent, including Brit Award-winning pop singer Becky Hill, rapper AJ Tracey, and iconic groups like Rudimental, The Kooks, and Bloc Party.

Additional performers such as Sammy Virji, Enter Shikari, Trippie Redd, Conan Gray, and Amyl and The Sniffers add diversity to the lineup. Rising stars like Wunderhorse, Royel Otis, and multi-talented actress and singer Suki Waterhouse are also set to perform, with more names still to be announced.

Tickets for the highly anticipated festivals will go on pre-sale on December 6, with general sales starting on December 9. The events will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, running from August 21 to 24, and promise an unforgettable mix of musical talent and festival magic.

With headliners like Chappell Roan, Travis Scott, Bring Me The Horizon, and Hozier, alongside a star-studded supporting lineup, Reading and Leeds 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark edition of the iconic festivals.
