Reggaeton star Don Omar announced on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with cancer. In a post on Monday, featuring a photo of him wearing a hospital bracelet, the 46-year-old Puerto Rican singer expressed optimism, stating that “tomorrow” he will be cancer-free.

However, he did not disclose any specifics about the type of cancer or the treatment he is undergoing.

Don Omar recently completed the first leg of his Back To Reggaeton tour across the US and Canada in April and is set to begin the second leg in August.

He had previously shared a video on Instagram of himself auditioning dancers for the upcoming shows.

Known for his rise to fame in the early 2000s, Don Omar, whose real name is William Omar Landron Rivera, has released eight studio albums since 2003 and has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 13 times, winning twice.
