Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, performed his hit song “Calm Down” at the prestigious wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s wealthiest individual, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharmaceutical moguls Viren and Shaila Merchant.
Rema’s record label, MAVIN on X.com, shared video footage of his performance following the event. According to reports from Hindustan Times, Rema commanded a fee of $3 million for his electrifying rendition of “Calm Down” at the July 12 ceremony held at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre.
The wedding festivities, culminating in a four-day extravaganza, showcased performances not only by Rema but also by global icons such as Justin Bieber, who reportedly earned $10 million for his set, and Rihanna, whose compensation was not disclosed.
The event marked the culmination of a series of opulent celebrations hosted by the Ambani family since March, attracting a galaxy of celebrities and dignitaries from around the world to Mumbai City.
