Actor Shafi, known for his role in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam, has officially confirmed via Instagram that filming for the highly anticipated sequel is set to begin soon.
The sequel, eagerly awaited by fans since the release of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, is expected to fulfill expectations as shooting gears up to start this year.
Shafi’s announcement on social media, coupled with insights from sources reported by Hindustan Times, assures fans that the wait for Salaar Part 2 is finally coming to an end.
Taking to Instagram, Shafi shared a fan-made poster of Prabhas, hinting at the commencement of filming for Salaar 2. Alongside the poster, he expressed excitement for the unfolding cinematic journey, signaling the imminent start of production.
Insights from sources reveal that the principal photography for Salaar Part 2 will kick off in the second half of June, with Prabhas and Prithviraj leading the cast.
The initial schedule will primarily focus on shooting intense action sequences in Chennai and Hyderabad’s film city. Other cast members are expected to join the production by the end of May, gearing up for their respective roles in the sequel.
Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam is poised to continue the narrative from where its predecessor left off, delving deeper into the complex dynamics between childhood friends turned adversaries, Deva (played by Prabhas) and Varadha (played by Prithviraj).
Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Bobby Simha. Anticipation mounts as fans eagerly await the sequel’s release, slated for sometime in 2025.
Despite facing stiff competition at the box office upon its release last December, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire managed to captivate audiences and critics alike, raking in significant revenue and garnering favorable reviews.
Meanwhile, director Prashanth Neel’s future projects, including a film with Jr NTR, are in the pipeline, while Prabhas remains occupied with projects like The Raja Saab with Maruthi and Kalki 2898 AD with Nag Ashwin.
