Award-winning singer Simi has released her fifth album, ‘Lost & Found,’ on July 5, 2024. Known for her captivating vocals and prolific career spanning over a decade, Simi has amassed a large fanbase and several awards.
The album features notable Nigerian artists, including Asa, Falz, Ladipoe, Lojay, Tiwa Savage, Bella Shmurda, and Juju music legend Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey.Ahead of the album’s release, Simi dropped singles ‘Men Are Crazy’ featuring Tiwa Savage and ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’ with Falz.
These collaborations marked significant moments in Nigerian music, particularly the rare collaboration between female powerhouses Simi and Tiwa Savage, as well as the notable pairing with Asa. The 14-track album, distributed by AWAL Recordings, is Simi’s fourth secular solo album, following her 2022 release ‘To Be Honest (TBH)’.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria at her listening party on July 4, 2024, Simi revealed that she initially recorded another album before deciding to scrap it and start fresh with ‘Lost & Found.’
She shared that the album represents a journey of self-discovery, inspired by her love for music and the birth of her daughter. Simi hopes that listeners will rediscover their love for her music through this new album.
