Pop star Justin Timberlake was charged with drunken driving early Tuesday in Sag Harbor, a village in New York’s Hamptons. Police reported that Timberlake ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane in the affluent seaside retreat.
Despite the incident, Timberlake has built a significant career, starting as a Disney Mouseketeer alongside Britney Spears and later achieving fame with the boy band NSYNC.
Transitioning to a solo career in 2002, he became one of the most influential pop figures of the early 2000s, known for hits like “Cry Me A River,” “SexyBack,” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling!”
Timberlake’s career extends beyond music; he has earned acclaim for his acting roles in movies such as “The Social Network” and “Friends With Benefits,” and has won four Primetime Emmy Awards.

Last year, he made headlines when Britney Spears released her memoir, which included details about their past relationship. In March, Timberlake released his first new album in six years, “Everything I Thought It Was.”
He has upcoming shows in Chicago and New York’s Madison Square Garden.Sag Harbor, where Timberlake was arrested, is a village in the Hamptons with a history as a whaling village and a reputation for being more down-to-earth than its neighboring communities.
The village has been home to various prominent figures, including singer-songwriter Billy Joel, former CNN host Don Lemon, and Nobel Prize-winning novelist John Steinbeck.
In recent years, Sag Harbor has attracted more celebrities, leading to increased traffic, crowds, and changes that have drawn mixed reactions from longtime residents.
