Dayo Adewunmi, famously recognized as “Sule Suebebe” in Nollywood, has passed away following a prolonged illness. The veteran Yoruba actor’s demise was confirmed by Ademola Amusan, also known as “Agbala Gabriel”, a prominent cleric and philanthropist based in Ibadan, who shared the news on his Facebook page.

Amusan expressed condolences, highlighting the actor’s demise, adding a prayer for his soul to rest in peace. Notably, Amusan had been actively involved in fundraising for Adewunmi’s medical expenses and even provided him with housing support in 2023.

Adewunmi, affectionately referred to as “Baba Suebebe,” was renowned for his comedic flair and had an extensive career in the Nigerian film industry, starring in over a hundred movies.

Some of his notable works include “Suku Suku Bam Bam” (2004) and “Ago Kan Oru” (2003). Beyond acting, he diversified his talents as an MC, TV presenter, and creator of the YouTube channel, Suebebe TV.

Through his channel, he aimed to promote Yoruba culture and language by producing films that showcased their richness and diversity.

Adewunmi’s legacy as a versatile entertainer and advocate for cultural preservation endures even after his passing.
