Vogue paid tribute to top designers with a star-studded sports-themed runway show in Paris on June 23, kicking off Haute Couture week and celebrating 100 years of French fashion.
The historic Place Vendome was transformed into a runway featuring references to various sports. Celebrities like Katy Perry, who wore a cut-out dress by Noir Kei Ninomiya, and Sabrina Carpenter, who donned a swimsuit-inspired Jacquemus number, showcased the latest designs.
The show included performances and appearances by prominent figures. Aya Nakamura serenaded the audience in a Jean Paul Gaultier gown, and FKA Twigs strutted in a 1920s coquette look by Alexandre Vauthier.
Sports stars also took to the catwalk, with Serena Williams in a slim Off-White dress and Venus Williams in a Marine Serre creation.
NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama was dressed by Louis Vuitton, under Pharrell Williams’ creative direction, and athletics legend Marie-Jose Perec closed the show in an Alaia dress inspired by the French flag.
Models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid participated in the show on horseback, adding to the spectacle, while celebrities like Eva Longoria and Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri watched from the audience.
The event, held one month before the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, was themed around the Games, which last took place in Paris 100 years ago.
