Wizkid has set the stage for an electrifying return to the live music scene with the announcement of his highly anticipated European concert series, ‘Morayo Live.’

This tour marks a major comeback for the Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar, as it will be his first headlining tour in nearly three years. Fans across Europe are eager to experience the magic of Wizkid’s performances, which have consistently showcased his unique blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and international influences. The tour promises to be a grand celebration of his latest musical era, bringing his newest hits to audiences in multiple countries.

As part of the ‘Morayo Live’ tour, Wizkid will be performing in three major European cities, beginning with Berlin, Germany, where he will take the stage at the 12,000-capacity Velodrom Arena on May 21, 2025.

From there, he will move to the Netherlands, where fans in Rotterdam will have the opportunity to witness his talent at the Ahoy RTM Stage on May 23. The tour will then culminate in France, where he is set to deliver an unforgettable show at the legendary 20,000-capacity Accor Arena in Paris on May 25. Each of these venues has hosted some of the biggest names in music, and Wizkid’s presence on these stages further cements his global influence.

The tour follows the release of Wizkid’s sixth studio album, ‘Morayo,’ which dropped in November 2024. The album has been widely praised for its rich production, introspective lyrics, and impressive collaborations.

Featuring guest appearances from Afrobeats heavyweight Asake, French star Tiakola, French-Gabonese singer Anaïs Cardot, and American R&B powerhouses Jazmine Sullivan and Brent Faiyaz, ‘Morayo’ has already solidified its place as one of Wizkid’s most ambitious projects. Its blend of sounds from Africa, Europe, and America reflects Wizkid’s continued mission to push Afrobeats to the global stage.

To build anticipation for the tour, Wizkid made surprise appearances at several high-profile events during the 2024 Detty December celebrations. These performances gave fans a taste of what to expect from the ‘Morayo Live’ tour, as he effortlessly delivered stunning renditions of tracks from the album.

His ability to blend classic hits with new material has always been one of his greatest strengths, and audiences are looking forward to witnessing his signature stage presence once again.

Wizkid is no stranger to selling out massive venues, having previously made history with three consecutive sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena. His tours are known for their electrifying atmosphere, high-energy performances, and seamless connection with the audience.

As one of the most successful Nigerian artists of the 21st century, Wizkid continues to redefine what it means to be a global Afrobeats star. With this European tour, he is set to reaffirm his dominance in the international music industry while further expanding his ever-growing fan base.

In addition to the tour, Wizkid is also in the spotlight for his Grammy nomination at the upcoming 67th annual awards ceremony. He is in the running for ‘Best African Music Performance’ for his contribution to Asake’s ‘MMS,’ marking another major milestone in his career.

If he secures the win, it will be his second Grammy, adding another accolade to his already impressive resume. Between the excitement of the ‘Morayo Live’ tour and the anticipation surrounding his Grammy nomination, 2025 is shaping up to be another landmark year for Wizkid and his fans worldwide.
