Nollywood director Editi Effiong has announced his new management deal with Zero Gravity Management, renowned for producing acclaimed films like “Ozark” and “Beasts of No Nation.”
Effiong shared his excitement about this milestone on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for being signed by the Hollywood studio.
Reflecting on the significance of this partnership, Effiong remarked on the surreal experience of being represented by the creators of his favorite show, Ozark.
He wrote:
“Excited to announce that I will be managed by Zero Gravity – makers of Ozark and Beasts Of No Nation
I’ve really struggled to find the words to express how this feels. One minute you’re watching Ozark and praising the artistry of it, next minute, you’re repped by the makers of your favourite show.
The last year has been an amazing rollercoaster. I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever worked in my life, but I’ve also been inspired more than I ever have been.
I used to dream of telling the next generation of African stories to the world, now I am backed by the the team that’s done it on the biggest stage, supporting me towards that goal.
Excited to work with Eric, Sarah and the @zerogravitymgmt team to create amazing stories for the world.

Effiong embarked on his journey in Nollywood in 2018, founding Anakle Films with a mission to elevate African narratives on the silver screen. In 2023, he released his first feature film on Netflix titled “The Black Book,” which garnered widespread acclaim, amassing over 20 million views and reaching number three on Netflix’s global chart.
The film follows the story of a devoted deacon portrayed by Richard Mofe Damijo, who seeks justice for his son falsely accused of kidnapping, ultimately confronting a corrupt police gang.
Effiong sees this partnership with Zero Gravity Management as a pivotal moment in his career, allowing him to realize his dream of sharing African stories with global audiences with the support of an experienced team.
