Prime Video has announced the renewal of its latest series, “Fallout,” for a second season, following its successful premiere on April 10. Based on the bestselling game franchise of the same name, the post-apocalyptic drama has garnered positive reviews from critics.

Produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serving as creators, executive producers, and showrunners, “Fallout” has quickly become a hit with global audiences.

In a press release, Prime Video revealed that “Fallout” achieved record-breaking viewership in its first four days, ranking among the streaming service’s top three most-watched titles ever and becoming the most-watched season globally since “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.”

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, praised the creators and producers for exceeding expectations and attracting millions of new fans to the franchise. The series presents a compelling narrative set in a world where survivors from luxury fallout shelters must confront the harsh realities of an irradiated landscape, with actors like Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins bringing their characters to life amidst a backdrop of mystery and danger.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, “Fallout” promises to continue enthralling viewers with its surreal world in its highly anticipated second season.
