Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has expanded his creative endeavors by stepping into the film industry as an executive producer. He will co-produce the forthcoming thriller, “3 Cold Dishes,” alongside Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac.
The film centers on Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle, three women who transform from victims of sex trafficking into influential figures in the underground prostitution world. Despite their rise, they remain haunted by their past traumas and seek vengeance against those who enslaved them.
Burna Boy’s involvement in the project comes through Spaceship Films, the production company he founded with his mother, Bose Ogulu, in 2015.
The film is directed by Asurf Oluseyi, an acclaimed director who won the 2016 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award for Best Short Film for “A Day with Death.”

Oluseyi described “3 Cold Dishes” as a powerful narrative showcasing the resilience and strength of its characters, offering a unique African cinematic experience.
The cast includes prominent Nollywood actors such as Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua.
It also features talented actors from Ivory Coast, Senegal, and other regions, including Fat Toure, Maud Guerard, Amelie Mbaye, and Mentor Ba.
The film is part of a larger slate of projects from Black Mic Mac, a production company focused on promoting African and Middle Eastern talents.
Their diverse lineup, which includes titles like “The Devil Inside” and “Let The Earth Burn,” positions Black Mic Mac as a significant force in the African film and television industry.
Pape Boye, founder of Black Mic Mac, expressed pride in collaborating with filmmakers across the continent and discovering new talent to entertain global audiences.
