Drake has shared a video on Instagram showing part of his Toronto home submerged in flood waters, jokingly commenting that the murky water “better be espresso martini.”
Toronto has been hit by severe storms causing widespread flooding, power outages, and traffic disruptions. Police reported that sections of the Don Valley Parkway and Lakeshore Boulevard were closed due to flooding.
Flooding was also reported at Union Station, a key transit hub in downtown Toronto, and Billy Bishop Airport closed its pedestrian tunnel because of the water. In the Peel Region west of the city, police warned drivers to be cautious as manhole covers were lifting due to the heavy rain.
The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority issued a flood warning, advising that shorelines, rivers, and streams in the Greater Toronto Area were dangerous.
Environment Canada had also issued rainfall warnings for the region as heavy rain and thunderstorms moved across southern Ontario.
