Guidelines to uploading videos for Britain’s Got Talent Auditions

Please follow the below guidelines in order to have the perfect audition video.
- You only get one audition into the BGT Show, so don’t hold anything back. You need to prove to the Britain’s Got Talent team that you can impress the judges and Britain with your talent.
- Video 1 should be a self-introduction. Have fun with this! Tell us all about yourself; name, age, where you are from, occupation and any other interesting things you would like to tell us.
- Video 2 should be the act that you would like to perform on Britain’s Got Talent.
- Large acts or acts with a big set up make sure you position the camera so we can see the whole act – film from a wide angle at the front and centre of the action.
- Singers should refrain from using vocal effects on your voice (reverb etc) Please sing without a microphone and sing to backing track or instrument.
- Keep the camera as still as possible and make sure you record somewhere with good light so we can see you.
- When recording your video please adhere to the current Covid Government Guidelines.
Uploaded video files should be no longer than 2 minutes and no larger than 300MB in size. Most video formats are supported.
AUDITION VIDEO TIPS
- Perform as if you are in front of our celebrity judges and do the routine you would like to do on stage.
- Large acts or those with a large set up, make sure we can see the whole act.
- Film from a wide angle at the front and centre of the action.
- Keep the camera as still as possible.
- Singers, please don’t use any vocal effects on your voice (reverb etc) and do not sing over the original artist’s track. Instead, use a backing track, instrument, or sing a capella.
