Award-winning rapper Jericho Gawanab, known as J-Twizzle, has released his seventh studio album, “The Signature,” which comprises 16 tracks. This album marks a significant turning point in his life as he decides to adopt a more meaningful lifestyle.
Reflecting on his past struggles with alcohol and drug abuse, Gawanab admits that these issues had led him down a dark path, but he now credits prayer and personal determination for his turnaround.
After moving back to Windhoek and spending the last year and a half rebuilding himself with the support of his family and childhood friends, Gawanab describes “The Signature” as his most mature work to date.
This new album, which follows his 2021 release “The Recovery,” showcases his artistic growth and features collaborations with various artists and producers, including multi-platinum South African producer Kolten Perine and Namibian talents.

Notable collaborations on the album include Sunny Boy and Page on “Eye Contact,” Remedy on “Addicted,” and Dice#1 Stunner on the title track, “The Signature.”
Gawanab describes the album as a blend of hip hop, soul, jazz, Afro pop, and kwaito, emphasizing a message of love, peace, and personal change, in contrast to the typical conflicts often associated with hip hop.
Gawanab also highlights his ambition to become a key figure in the local music industry, aspiring to reach millionaire status. The album includes a personal track titled “Leave Me Alone,” dedicated to some family members.
Producers such as Pro Cliff, Leo Beats, DJ Chronic, Zesh, Key Note, Mr Glo, and Elvo contributed to the final mixing and mastering, ensuring a high-quality production that offers a sense of positivity and relatability.
