A source from Buckingham Palace revealed that the King is enthusiastic about the documentary’s potential impact. “His Majesty is greatly looking forward to seeing how the concepts from Harmony can be communicated to new audiences,” the source told BBC News.
The decision to collaborate with Amazon Prime Video marks a notable shift for the British monarchy, as they have traditionally partnered with UK-based broadcasters for high-profile television projects. This move suggests an ambition to reach a global audience, reinforcing the King’s commitment to making environmental issues a worldwide priority.
The Royal Family’s partnership with a major U.S. streaming platform inevitably draws comparisons to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ongoing work with Netflix. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously starred in the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan, which chronicled their personal journey and decision to step back as senior royals.
Additionally, they served as executive producers on a recent Netflix documentary about Polo, and Meghan is set to release her new lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, in March.
