Nasboi, the Nigerian rising star known for blending comedy and music, has released his debut project titled In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T). Born Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji in Port Harcourt in 1992, Nasboi grew up inspired by iconic artists like 2Face Idibia and Davido.

His early exposure to these musical influences sparked a deep passion for music, which he later combined with his comedic talent to create a unique artistic persona.

After completing his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Uyo, Nasboi ventured into the music scene with his debut single ‘Lover Boy’ in 2023, marking the beginning of his professional music career.

Building on the success of his initial singles, including ‘Umbrella’ featuring Wande Coal and ‘Small Money,’ Nasboi now presents his debut EP In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T). This project is a vibrant celebration of life, love, and self-expression, showcasing his versatility and unique storytelling approach.

Collaborating with notable artists such as Chike, 2Baba, Falz, and Joeboy, Nasboi infuses his music with a blend of love, humor, and introspective themes. His ability to transition from comedic skits to emotionally resonant music sets him apart in the Nigerian entertainment industry, highlighting his multifaceted talent.

The EP features standout tracks like ‘Ajo’ and ‘Could This Be Love,’ where Nasboi delves into themes of love and devotion. In ‘Ajo,’ he expresses his deep affection for his lover, using vivid metaphors to compare the sweetness of love to delicacies like coconut and chocomilo, while contrasting it with the bitterness of herbs.

‘Could This Be Love’ is a poignant collaboration with Chike, exploring the overwhelming emotions and vulnerability that accompany true love. The track is a heartfelt exploration of the uncertainties and intense feelings associated with romantic relationships, showcasing Nasboi’s ability to convey deep emotions through his music.

Balancing lighthearted celebration with emotional depth, In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T) offers a diverse listening experience. Tracks like ‘Small Money’ celebrate the joy of life’s small victories, while ‘Short Skirt’ is a playful ode to confident and stylish women.

On the more reflective side, ‘No Be So’ questions the sincerity of a lover’s intentions, and ‘Umbrella’ speaks to providing support in relationships.

Through this debut project, Nasboi aims to evoke a spectrum of emotions in his listeners, from love and laughter to moments of deep introspection.

His debut EP is not just a musical journey but also a personal testament to his growth as an artist, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating his next creative endeavor.
