Pearl Jam has canceled their scheduled performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the eve of the event due to illness within the band. The concert, part of their Dark Matter Tour and featuring support acts Richard Ashcroft and The Murder Capital, was set for Saturday.

In a statement posted on Instagram on Friday, the band, led by Eddie Vedder, expressed regret, stating there was “no other option” but to cancel. They emphasized the decision was difficult, particularly as many fans had made travel plans based on the tour schedule.

The band also noted that they had to prioritize their health to avoid further damage.Ticket holders will receive refunds at the point of purchase, but stadium officials confirmed the concert will not be rescheduled despite their best efforts.

Standing tickets for the event were priced at £135. Pearl Jam’s statement further conveyed their disappointment at not being able to perform in one of their favorite cities and acknowledged the extensive schedule commitments that prevented rescheduling.

They expressed deep gratitude for the support of the Pearl Jam community and sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellation.

The venue has not yet confirmed whether additional fees paid by ticket holders, some of which exceeded £20, will be refunded. For those seeking refunds on hotel and travel costs, the stadium advised referring to the terms and conditions of the respective providers.

The cancellation underscores the unpredictable nature of live events and the impact unforeseen health issues can have on both artists and fans.

Pearl Jam’s communication reflects their awareness of the fans’ dedication and their own disappointment in being unable to deliver the anticipated performance.
