Nigerian street hop artist Portable has released a new single inspired by his encounter with Tiwa Savage, a celebrated music superstar.
During a layover in the United States on June 3, 2024, Portable documented his meeting with Tiwa Savage, praising her beauty and charm. In a live session with thousands of fans, he expressed his admiration for her, declaring her more beautiful than international stars Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.
This meeting significantly impacted Portable, leading him to create and release a new single titled “Ogbanje” on June 4, 2024.
In the track, he extols the beauty of women, likening it to that of celestial beings, and affectionately refers to Tiwa Savage as the “Queen of Africa” in an Instagram post.
Portable’s new role as a Patron of a Single Mothers Group is also highlighted in “Ogbanje,” showcasing his commitment to his responsibilities in this position.
His recent interaction with Tiwa Savage follows their initial meeting at the 2024 BRIT Fashion Awards, where he attended as a guest of Nigerian-British rapper Skepta.
Portable has previously expressed a desire to collaborate with Tiwa Savage, sharing their direct messages with his Instagram followers.
