In the first half of 2024, Seyi Vibes’ EP ‘NAHAMciaga’ emerged as the top streamed album in Nigeria, selling 91,000 units across major platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube.

This success solidifies Seyi Vibes’ momentum from the end of 2023, establishing him as a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene.

Following closely behind at number 2 is Kizz Daniel’s ‘Thankz Alot (TZA)’ EP, which garnered 78,000 units, boosted by popular tracks like ‘Twe Twe’, ‘Too Busy To Be Bae’, and ‘Sooner’.

Shallipopi’s debut album ‘Presido La Pluto’ secured the third spot with 73,000 units, while Odumodublvck’s ‘Eziokwu’ and Asake’s ‘Work of Art’ rounded out the top 5 with 68,000 and 59,000 units respectively.

Further down the list, Wizkid reaffirmed his status as a leading Nigerian artist with his EP ‘S2’ landing at number 8, despite containing only four songs, garnering 39,000 streams.

Seyi Vibes and Shallipopi distinguished themselves as the only artists with two projects in the top ten, with Seyi Vibes’ collaborative album with Vibez INC at number 9 with 38,000 units and Shallipopi’s sophomore album ‘Shakespopi’ closing out the list at number 10 with 35,000 units.

These albums’ strong performances in the first half of the year position them as early contenders for accolades such as Album of the Year, reflecting their commercial success and critical acclaim in the Nigerian music industry
