Nollywood actor Big Larry has sadly passed away, with his death reported on Friday. The news was shared by popular movie producer Stanley Ontop, who posted a tribute on his Instagram page.
In his post, Ontop mentioned that the cause of Big Larry’s death is yet to be confirmed, expressing condolences to the actor and acknowledging the grief within the Nollywood community, particularly in Asaba, where Larry was based.
He wrote:
“Nollywood actor Big Larry has just passed away. What caused his demise is yet to be known. May your soul rest in peace, Big Larry. Nollywood, Asaba mourns.”
Since January 2024, the Nollywood industry has experienced several significant losses, including prominent actors like Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi’ Oyeyemi, and Junior Pope.
In response to these untimely deaths, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) held a four-day fasting and prayer session in May 2024, led by Streams of Joy International founder Jerry Eze, in hopes of curbing the ongoing tragedies affecting the industry.
